This is far from true.
Very few British men are capable of quoting Keats whilst punting through Oxford and even fewer make grand romantic gestures at Christmas time.
Except for BoJo of course…
But this doesn’t matter thanks to Young Hugh Grant.
Sure his champagne socialist politics are annoying, but his disarming smile and quintessential quiff have gifted his fellow countrymen with an unearned erudite aura that is guaranteed to help them attract foreign women.
If that’s not worth a knighthood then what is?
